Although King Darius III did not see Alexander as much of a threat, he was soon surprised to see his men overthrown by Alexander. This gave Alexander the win over Granicus.

Alexander was back for more. Darius and Alexander's men fight at Issus. Alexander's army reigns victorious, despite the size of Darius' army. This also lead to the capture of Darius' wife and children.

After Darius III learns of Alexander's capture over his loved ones, he begs a treaty, and offers half his land. But Alexander refuses. He wishes for all of the land. He challenged Darius to fight on.

Persia falls to the foot of Alexander. King Darius knew of his defeat, and had tried to flee. Darius died soon after. Alexander reigned as King of Persia, after winning the great battle.

Alexander The Great, died at age 32. He had became ill and died in Babylon (Iraq). No one knows if it was of sickness or poison.
