Alexander the Great was born to King Philip II, king of Macedonia. Many people(including himself) believed he was a god.

At age 16, Alexander is finished being taught by Aristotle and joins his father's army. Philip at this point in time plans to unite Macedonians and Greeks and invade Persia.

King Philip II had started to celebrate his upcoming departure to attack Persia, as well as the marriage of his daughter Cleopatra. Then he is assassinated by one of his bodyguards. Philip's death leads to Alexander's start of ruling at only age 20.

The Greek city-state Thebes start rebellion that is soon stopped by Alexander. He either executes or enslaves the citizens of Thebes.

Persians stop fighting back which leads to Alexander's empire liberating the Persian cities he comes across.

In Gordium, where he spent the winter, according to legend, he solves the Gordian knot, which held together the yoke and the pole of a wagon that once belonged to King Midas. Stories foretold that whoever solved the puzzle would rule all Asia.

He conquers Syria before Egypt. He soon takes over Babylon.

Alexander and his close companion Cleitus were drunk and got into an argument. Alexander accidentally stabs Cleitus with a spear. This leads up to Alexander's men starting to fear him.

Alexander defeats King Porus in northern India. Alexander’s army refuse to go any further and Alexander is forced to go back to Babylon.

Before he can set out on his new campaign, Alexander dies. It was believed that he died of a fever. Some say someone poisioned him, it could have been his battle wound infections catching up to him or he could have died of malaria. He died at age 32.
