  • World War One starts

    the biggest war since the 30 yrs war

  • Sopwith Camel made

    the sopwith camel was one of the most succesful fighter airplanes in WW1 as it shot down more enemy planes than any other fighter plane at the time. it was highly manouverable and it was a hard plane to beat in a dogfight but it was quite tricky to fly so many people did die while training to fly it. they had made a few changes and then it became the worlds most manouverable fighter pilots in World War 1

  • Sidney Camm Chief Designer of Hawkers

    he was working and he was designing the hawher hunters in many diiferent ways as he was a very succesful and he was working until 1948 and they hjad found out it was easier as they had more time on thier hands and more space to improve the plane so one of the planes he did was the hunter F.1 and which enetered the Air Fighting Development Squadron in july 1954

  • WORLD WAR II starts

    the biggest war since world war 1 and this is a battle betwen the german, english, american, french, polish and jews

  • hawker hunter M.K3

    it was sometimes called the f.3 but it didnt carry any weapons and it has the worlds higherst air speed record of 727.6 mph so this spped record really helped it in chases as it was faster than enemy planes and it also would have helped it if it wanted to escape the enemy especially as it didnt have any weapons so speed really did help the plane.

  • Hawker Hunter F.2

    it was fitted with a Sapphire engine and it was an amazing fihgter plane but only 45 of these amazing planes were built and they were built in kingston and they were first flew a pliot caalled armstrong withworth

  • HAWKER HUNTER f.1

    it was in the Air Fighting Development Sqaudron and it entered this in 1954 anmd it had an avon 113 engine itthat meands it was really fast as that was a jet engine and they were only able to build 139 planes and this to think wasnt a lot becuase many of them would have crashed in training and twice as much in the war and dogfights but it had a huge advantage in speed and 113 built by Hawker Aircraft at Kingston-upon-Thames

    avon 115 to 121 enegine so a powerful engine and it had weapons and 349 were built in kingston

  • HAWKER HUNTER F.5

    SAME AS F.4 BUT INSTEAD OF AN AVON ENGINE IT HAD A SAPPHIRE ENGINE 101
