    End of Last Ice Age

The end of the last ice age marked a period of settlement. The nomadic people began to gather plants like cereal grains such as wheat and barley throughout the Fertile Crescent. The gathering of these cereal grains was very important. The grains were able to be stored easily through the winter and when stored in water they would ferment and create beer. Beer was a drink that would become the bases of civilization.
