  • 2nd inquest opened

    A second coroner's inquest into the death of Azaria is opened by Coroner Galvin.
  • Trial

    Coroner Galvin sent Lindy Chamberlain to trial in relation to the murder of Azaria, and Michael Chamberlain for being an accessory to Azaria's murder.
  • Chamberlain Trial

    The Chamberlain trial opens in a Darwin courthouse. James Muirhead is the Judge.
  • Found guilty

    The Chamberlain case goes to the jury.  The jury finds a heavily preagnant Lindy Chamberlain guilty of murder and Michael guilty of being an accessory. Lindy Chamberlain is sentenced to life imprisonment and Michael recieves an eighteen month suspended sentence.
