Around 8pm, Lindy puts 10 month old Azaria and 4 year old Reagen to bed in the tent. She came back to the others around 10 minutes later.

Azaria disappears from the campground at about 8pm when Sally Lowe (friend at campground of the Chamberlain's) hears a scream. Lindy goes to Azaria's tent to find she isn't there.

More evidence is presented. A dingo was heard growling near the tent, biologist Joy Kuhl says the blood in the Chamberlain's car is from an infant and an expert says it would be impossible for a baby's head to fit inside a dingo's mouth.

Lindy Chamberlain who is heavily pregnant, is found guilty of first degree murder and is sentenced to life imprisonment. Michael Chamberlain who was an accessory receives an eighteen month suspended sentence.

Mrs. Chamberlain released on bail to appeal to the Federal Court, two days after giving birth to their second daughter Kahlia.

A matinee jacket was found matching the description of the jacket Azaria wore on the day of her death. This is an important part of the investigation and has been said to explain why there may not have been any dingo saliva on the actual jumpsuit.

Lindy asks Michael for a divorce and year later the divorce is finalised. Kahlia chooses to live with Michael, Reagan lives with Lindy and Aidan divides his time between the two homes.

Findings of the Third Inquest are announced. NT Coroner reiterates that neither Lindy or Michael were involved with the disappearance of Azaria. He leaves the cause of Azaria's death 'open'.

August 6, 2004 Frank Cole, A Melbourne pensioner now 78, takes a lie detector test to prove his story that in August 1980 he shot the dingo that killed Azaria, then showed the baby's body to his companions. He passes the lying test, but Lindy still has doubts about his story.

After a series of dingo attacks on humans, a fourth coroner's inquest is opened. Lindy expresses the hope that the inquest will both clear her name and alert the public to the fact that dingoes are dangerous.
