    The Stamp Act was were british taxed american citizens.They taxed on printed goods like printed paper.These taxes were added to additional taxes they had beofre this is called a direct tax.This was important because the taxes were to help pay for troops stationed in north america.This took away liberty to the american citizens.

    These series of laws were named after Charles Townshend.The laws placed new taxes on glass, lead, paints, paper, tea and many other products.This was so the british could replace missing tax money.This was important cause the british replaced the missing money from the people who didnt pay there taxes.
