This was Americas first national constitution and led to the creating of a new government for America. -
Land Ordinance of 1785
the land was surveyed and divided into a neat grid of townships, each 6miles square. The Ordinance changed the entire landscape of the Northwest Territory. -
Shay's Rebellion
wanted to close a courthouse in Springfeild so that the farmers were not forced to sell their farms. -
Constitutional Convention
They met to discuss many isssues that needed to be fixed in America such as finding a balance between the large and small states. -
Congress approved the 12 amendments
protected the citizens and were created by James Madison.
