8pm: Monica Templeton admitted to hospital
Within two hours of Jeremy being admitted to hospital, his girlfriend Monica is rushed to hospital with similar symptoms. -
6pm: Jeremy Little is diagnosed
Jeremy is diagnosed with meningococcal disease after his mother rushed him to Ballarat Base Hospital. At home, Jeremy displaying symptoms of excessive sweating, vomiting and a a high fever. -
3pm: The remaining three teenagers are admitted to hospital.
David Hughes, Erica Singh and Jordan Reed are admitted to hospital. -
7am: Dr Beryl Wainwright expresses concern
In an interview with the Head of Communicable Diseases at Ballarat Base Hospital, Dr Beryl Wainwright says she is concerned about the nature of the disease, and fears it may spread rapidly.
