General Wolfe ordered his army to climb up a goat path onto an abandoned farmers field called the Plains of Abraham. Montcalm decided to attack the British, but this was a mistake. Indian snipers and Canadian Militia men attack the British first. During the battle, General Wolfe was shot and killed. The battle lasted for 15 minutes.
