    Atanasoff-Berry Computer (ABC) is completed

    Built at Iowa State College (now University), the ABC was designed and built by Professor John Vincent Atanasoff and graduate student Cliff Berry between 1939 and 1942. The ABC was at the center of a patent dispute relating to the invention of the computer, which was resolved in 1973 when it was shown that ENIAC co-designer John Mauchly had come to examine the ABC shortly after it became functional.

    The complex number calculator was finish. In 1939 Bell laboratories, compleated this calculatior comanded by George Stibitz. In 1940 George Stibitz expose the calculator in the Dartmouth College. With this product they gained an advance to access to computing.

Designed by Eric Bina and Marc Andreessen at the University of Illinois’s National Center for Supercomputer Applications, Mosaic was originally designed for a Unix system running X-windows. By 1994, Mosaic was available for several other operating systems such as the Mac OS, Windows and AmigaOS.
