    Fish can be swimming around in the water and unlike us humans can pull oxygen from the water but they can't breath when on land.

    The fish will intake oxygen from the water by using it's gills slits on each side of it's head acting like our lungs to them.

    After the fish intakes the oxygen it will let go of carbon dioxide from their system.

    After all this happens the fish has just taken a breath of oxygen from the water. It is very interesting how this works and how they cant breath on land but they can in water and us humans can't breath in water but we can on land.
