Physical: Large Motor Skill-May stand alone without support for a short time.
Small Motor Skill- Has improved grasping skills. May try and turn door knobs. -
Intellectual: Language-Points to familiar toys or persons on request. Slowly increases vocabulary to four to six words.
General- Experiments with actions never tried before. -
Physical: Large Motor Skills- May be able to walk sideways.
Small Motor Skills- May show hand preference in all activities and likes to grab anything and everything. -
Intellectual: General- Idenifies simple pictures in book, such as "ball," "doggie," and so on.
Language-Vocabulary increases from six to ten words, and uses "no" more often than any other word. -
Physical: Large Motor Skills- Can kick large ball without stepping on it.
Small Motor Skills- Holds two objects in havd easily and uses one hand more than the other. -
Intellectual: General- completes simple jigsaw puzzle of two or three pieces.
Language-Likes to respond to directions and responds to speech with speech. -
Physical: Large Motor Skills- Throws ball overhead instead of tossing.
Small Motor Skills- Holds crayon with thumb and fingers. Snips paper with scissors. -
Physical: Large Motor Skills- Plays on swings, laddders and other playground equipment.
Small Motor Skills- Open doors by turning doorknobs and tears paper and manipulates clay. -
Intellectual: General- May be able to draw crude pictures and interpret what they are.
Language-Listens and enjoys simple stories, and imitates parents' words and inflections. -
Intellectual: General- Is able to interpret pictures drawn or painted.
Language- Uses two-word sentences and enjoys learning names for new objects. -
Physical: Large Motor Skills- Walks on tiptoe and enjoys games involving running.
Small Motor Skills- Makes mud pies and sand castle. -
Intellectual: General- Can stack things in the correct order.
Language- Uses personal pronouns correctly and understands relative size. -
Physical: Rides a tricycle and screws lids on and off containers. Emotinal: Modifies behavior to win praise and acceptance and loves to talk and talks to everyone and everything. Social: Seeks friends of thier own and works in small groups.

Physical: Alternates feet whe alking up and down the stairs and cuts on a line with scissors. Emotional: Quite self-centered and their active imagination leads to fears. Social: Forms friendships with thier playmates, but their family is more important than friends.

Physical: Skips with alternating feet and uses spoon and fork to eat for most foods. Emotional: Has empathy for others and is emotionally impulsive. Social: Outgoing and talkative and develops more respect for others' belongings.

Physical: Jumps rope and can tie shoes. Emotional: Experience rapid mood changes and enjoys music or dane lessons and organized sports. Social: when they tire of play, they drop out of games and have no regard for team effort.
