Arrested for robbing drug dealers and was charged with armed robbery. Lucky for him , his charges were dropped.

Failed his first state board exam. This made him become very depressed and wanted to drop out of medical school . Luckily, he was convinced not to and retook the test and past.

Joined Dr. Nathan Doctry at East Orange Hospital where he would witness a knee surgery being performed. This made Sam question if he should become a doctor because he threw up when he saw all the blood.

Got accepted to University of Maryland however, he wasn't happy and he looked for a postion elsewhere. He called the Beth Israel Medical Center and found they have a postion in Emergency medicine, he called and found they had a position for him. Sam finally felt like he had found his calling in medicine.

A patient had been shot and rushed into the hospital, Sam tried the best he could to save him but the patient died because of his injuries. This was the first patient hem lost.

While working at Beth Israel Medical Center, Sam had to treat sister Fellease for admitted for aids related pneumonia.
