Broken bones
Sam was hanging out with his brother Andre andn nthey were fixing benches in the park. A 200 pound piece of concrete fell on his leg. His parents took him to Beth Israel Medical Center and he got a cast on it. -
Time of his life.
Mr. Brown his next- door neighbour took him and his friend Noody to a mets game. This was the first professional baseball game he had been to in his life. -
Big Break
Arrested for robbing drug dealers and was charged with armed robbery. Lucky for him , his charges were dropped. -
Disapointment
Failed his first state board exam. This made him become very depressed and wanted to drop out of medical school . Luckily, he was convinced not to and retook the test and past. -
First Surgery
Joined Dr. Nathan Doctry at East Orange Hospital where he would witness a knee surgery being performed. This made Sam question if he should become a doctor because he threw up when he saw all the blood. -
Sense of Belonging
Got accepted to University of Maryland however, he wasn't happy and he looked for a postion elsewhere. He called the Beth Israel Medical Center and found they have a postion in Emergency medicine, he called and found they had a position for him. Sam finally felt like he had found his calling in medicine. -
Graduation
Successfully completed his goal of becoming a doctor in emergency medicince after all his hard work and dedication -
Greatful
Brother gave him a green leather photo album that had all of his carrer definiing moments and it meant alot to him -
Tried and Failed.
A patient had been shot and rushed into the hospital, Sam tried the best he could to save him but the patient died because of his injuries. This was the first patient hem lost. -
When work and personal life meet.
While working at Beth Israel Medical Center, Sam had to treat sister Fellease for admitted for aids related pneumonia.
