    Early in the morning the Confederates delayed their attack even longer allowing the Union army to strengthen their position. The Union%u2019s Major General advanced in front of the main line and they became under attack.

    The fighting began early in the morning around 4a.m. with cannon fire. The Union artillery moved through the lower end of Culp%u2019s Hill, and continued fighting over Culp%u2019s hill, and then the fighting over Culp%u2019s Hill ended.
