Romeo and Juliet Act 3

Marcutio and Tybalt fight

Jul 19, 1300

Benvolio and Marcutio are walking. They see Tybalt, who is a Capulet. Romeo comes. Tybalt and Marcutio start to fight. Romeo tries to break it up but Tybalt ends up stabing Marcutio. Then Romeo and Tybalt get in a fight and he kills Tybalt. Then the prince bands him from Verona.

Romeo gets told that he is band from Verona.

Romeos father tells him that he is band from Verona and that he will be killed if he comes back. Romeo feels that banishment is worse than being killed. He doesn't want to leave Juliet. The Nurse comes to see if Romeo is alive.

Paris still wants to marry Juliet

Paris is asking for Juliets hand. Her father tells him to wait because her cousin just died. Paris believes that now would be a perfect time because then the joy of the marriage will take the place if the grief.

Nurse tell Juliet about Tybalt

The Nurse tells Juliet about Tybalts death and Romeos banishment. They believe he is killed because he killed Tybalt but really hes not. They both grieve about the deaths.

Juliet is grieving

Jul 20, 1300

Juliet doesn't want Romeo to go. Nurse comes and tells her that Lady Capulet is coming. Lady Capulet comes and Juliet says that she is sick. Juliet talks about missing Romeo. Her mom thinks shes talking about hating him. But really she is only hating the fact that he is gone.
