    one of the first arcade game consles. it is a 2D tenis game where you simply move a stick up and down to reflect a ball going through the screen.

    first game that had mario in it. you play as mario and must jump over barrels and firballs to save the princess from the giant gorilla. 2 controlls move and jump. this was an arcade machine.

    this is the first nintendo console. and the best selling game console of its time. the release date i have used is the one for europe.

    europe release date.very sucsessful in europe and in some countries sold more than the nintendo console of its time.

    sega's fifth home console. 16 bit console. sega's most sucessful console. its best selling game was sonic the hedgehog 2 it has sold over 6 million copies.
  • super nintendo entertainment system

    also called the SNES or super nintendo. nintendo's second home console. first was the NES. the best known game for this console was easily "super mario world" witch is still played today. this is a 16 bit console.

    sold 17 million units world wide. 32 bit console. its best selling game was virtua fighter witch sold 1.7 millon copies (in japan). used discs.
  • sony play station

    first of the play station series. 32 bit console. also known as the PS1. first game console to sell over 100 million units. stoped being made on march the 23rd in 2006. best selling game was gran turismo it sole 10.85 million copies. this console used a memory card to save all game data. uses discs. can also be used to play CD's.
  • Nintendo 64

    sold 32.93 million copies worldwide. 64 bit console. best selling game was super mario 64 selling 11 million copies. uses cartridges. this console has had many many colour variations. console still played.

    a 64 bit cartridge game. single player. is a platform game. created by nintendo. in the game the mail goal of the game is to defeat bowser and save princess peach

    8 bit console. usues cartridges. part of the fifth generation era of consoles. is handheld. best selling game was pokemon gold and silver selling 14.51 million copies. combined with the gameboy it sold 118.69 million units worldwide.

    the last game console made by sega. in the sixth generation of games consoles. had online access. its competitors were the X-box, nintendo gamecube and the playstation2. it sold 10.6 million units worldwide. data would be saved onto a memory card. its predecessor was the sega saturn. this console used discs. its best selling game was sonic adventure selling 2.5 million copies.

    normaly called the PS2. best seelling console to current date selling over 145 million units worldwide. having ovber 1900 games. data storage is a memory card. 64 bit console. can play origonal play station 1 games. its best selling game was grant theft auto:san andreas selling 17.33 million copies. uses discs. can also play CD's and DVD's. capable of online play.

    microsofts first game console. competitors with the nintendo gamecube, the playstation2 and the sega dreamcast. it sold 22 million units worldwide. this console could play DVD's and CD's. data was stored on the console its self but could be put onto a memory card. this had online access. its sucessor was the XBOX360. its best selling game was halo 2 selling 8 million copies.

    nintendo's forth home video console. its competing colsoles were the microsoft X-box, the sega dreamcast and the play station 2. part of the sixth generationconsole era. this console had smaller discs than he other consoles so this made it so its unable to play DVD's and CD's. its predecessor wa the N64 and its sucessor it the nintendo WII. this console uses memory cards to store data. worldwide it sold 21.74 million copies. its best selling game was super smash bros melee.

    could be played online with the WIFI connection. handheld console part of the seventh generation era of consoles. could use gameboy advance cartridges and DS game cadrds. has 2 screens the bottem one is touch sensitive. it has a build in microphone. best selling game was nintendogs selling 22.27 million copies. this console sold 111.87 million units worldwide.

    memory storage was on a memory card. handheld console part of the seventh generation ear of consoles. has online WIFI access. competes with the nintendo DS. hsa sold 51.99 million units worldwide.

    microsofts second console. in the seventh generation era of games consoles. uses discs. canplay DVD's and CD's. has online access. data is stored on a harddrive or a memory card. this console competes with the play station3 and nintendo's WII. has downloadable content online. can play most of the old xbox games. its prodecessor was the X-box. this sold 31 million units worldwide. and its best selling game was halo 3 witch sold 10.17 million games worldwide.

    pretty much the same as the nintendo DS its in the same era (seventh). its much smaller and smoother unfortunatly cannot play gameboy advence games but it had a bew built in camera. has sold 6.68 million units worldwide.
