  • Why I Decided To Lift

    I decided to do this because I wanted to get stronger. The book says, "Goals should be seen more as the critical steps we take
    on the path to our dreams" (13). Lifting would be one of the critical steps to getting stronger.
  • Why I Decided To Run

    I decided to run because I had friends to encourage me and showed me that good can come from running. Just like the book says, "The greatest breeder of success is success" (13).
  • I Set Small Goals

    For both decisions, I set small goals in order to keep me going. I set little increases in weight for lifting and I set faster times for running. The book does say, " The sense of gratification you get from accomplishing small yet meaningful goals will help sustain the energy and belief as you move towards greater accomplishments" (13).
