  • Iran Hostage Crisis Solved

    The Iran hostage crisis negotiations took place in 1980 and 1981 between the United States and the Iranian Government to end the Iranian hostage crisis. The 52 American hostages, seized from the US Embassy in Tehran in November 1979, were finally released on January 20, 1981.

  • Sandra Day O'Conner

    Sandra Day O'Conner was the first female member of the Supreme Court.

  • Challenger Crash

    The space shuttle Challenger exploded during lift off, killing everyone on board. The explosion was caught on camera on CNN.

  • FOX

    FOX was the first major network to host nightly programming. This channel is still around today.

  • Tax Reform Act of 1986

    President Ronald Reagan simplified the tax code and broadened the tax base. It was referred to as "Reagan tax cuts".

  • Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF Treaty)

    The INF Treaty was an agreement between US and USSR regarding nuclear weapon manufacturing.

    The North American Free Trade Agreement was signed by Clinton. This gave the right to a three way trade between the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

  • Oklahoma City Bombing

    The Oklahoma City Bombing was an attack on the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. 168 people were killed including 19 children under the age of 6. It was the worst tragedy on US soil before 9/11.

  • Columbine Shooting

    This was the very first school shooting. 14 were killed, including the 2 shooters and a teacher. 23 other were wounded. This was only the start of a mass shooting era in America.

  • 9/11 Attack

    This was a series of coordinated terrorist attacks by the Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda against the United States. The World Trade Center in New York, NY was brought down by two hijacked planes. The third plane crashed into the Pentagon and the fourth one crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania when the hijackers were afraid of the passengers gaining control back. The attacks killed 2,996 people, injured over 6,000 others. 9/11 is the single deadliest terrorist attack in human history.

    Chloe Alyssa Johnson was born on November 17, 2001 in Fort Bragg, NC. This is very important to history because who knows what I'll do in the future. Everyone's births are important to history because they make the future.
