  • Bellbottom Pants

    Bell-bottoms are a style of trousers that become wider from the knees downward, forming a bell-like shape. bell-bottoms became fashionable for both men and women in Europe and North America. Often made of denim, they flared out from the bottom of the calf.

    The Mary Taylor Moore Show is an American television sitcom created by James L. Brooks and Allan Burns. The show aired on CBS from 1970 to 1977. The program was a television breakthrough because it had the first never-married, independent career woman as the central character.

    The mood ring was created in 1975 by two New York inventors, Josh Reynolds and Maris Ambats. The ring was created by bonded liquid crystals with quartz stones set into rings. They intially retailed for $45. Mood rings were a short lived rad, popular amoung young teen girls.

    The inventor Gary Dahl created the pet rock. A rock would not need to be fed, walked, bathed, or groomed; and would not die, become sick, or be disobedient. Dahl said they were to be the perfect pets, and joked about it with his friends. It became extremely popular and was a huge fad.

    Pete Rose is an American former professional baseball player and manager. Rose played in Major League Baseball from 1963 to 1986, and managed from 1984 to 1989. Rose was able to negotiate a one million dollar per year contract, before Rose few baseball players made more than $100,000 per year.
