  • #9066 Executive Order

    Roosevelt signed this order. This was allowing the military leaders to exclude all the non -American looking soldiers.
  • Battle of the Coral Sea

    The American and Japanese soldiers were fighting combat from both sides. There were many soldiers that committed suicide because it was easier than facing surrender.
  • D-Day (Operation Overload)

    American, British, and the Canadian Forces landed D-Day. This was an invasion of France. The Allied Forces landed On Normandy. This was showing that it was successful in fighting against Nazis.
  • Korea Dividing

    Korea began to divide. South Korea, was being controlled by the United States. North Korea was controlled by communists and the Soviet Union.
  • The Manhattan Project and The Potsdam Conference

    They had a fear of the Germans developing an atomic bomb. The United States government launch "The Manhattan Project".
    Potsdam Conference was when President Truman heard that the Manhattan Project had tested an atomic bomb and it was successful.
  • Hiroshima and Nagasaki Bombings

    On 8/6 the United States attacked with atomic bombs on Hiroshima. On 8/9, the United States dropped many atomic bomb on Nagasaki, Japan.
  • Continuing Hiroshima and Nagasaki Bombings

    Boarding the battleship USS Missouri, Japanese delegates signed their surrender to the United States.Then, World War II was over.
  • The Korean War

    This war went on from 1950-1953.
    The North Koreans attacked Seoul which is the South Korean Capital. This fight continued for many years. This war included DPRK and ROK as well. July 27, 1953 armistice made an agreement and was signed by the Soviet Union in the United States There was more than 1.5 million deaths throughout this time.
