    The signing of the Treaty of Versailles officially ended the war between Germany and the allied power. Germany disliked the treaty due to the fact the war guilt clause blamed Germany for World War I and stated Germany must pay millions in reparations.The reason this is important is to show how the Germans felt shame and suffered due to their economy being ruined.

    The concentration camp to open was Dachau which opened in 1933 shortly after Adolf Hitler became Chancellor. It was first used a camp for political prisoners but eventually became a death camp where thousands of Jews died. This is an important event since this was the start of the extermination of whoever was seen as being unfit for the new Germany.

    On this day Japans naval force attacks military bases on Oahu, Hawaii. The US military suffered because of 18 ships being damaged or sunk along with 2,400 deaths. This date is extremely important because this is what lead the Untied States entering World War II after they declared war against japan on December 8, 1941.

    On this day President Franklin D Roosevelt signs the declaration of war. This day is important because it meant the United States was entering the war and sending 12 million troops to fight. It is important to say the the US did not win WWII alone but without the US the war would have been lost.

    The US navy defeats the Japanese navy at the Battle of Midway. This was successful because of the major base located on midway island. This was an important victory because it ruined Japans hopes of neutralizing the united states as naval power. This battle ended June 07, 1942

    D-day is the day that allied forces landed on the beaches of Normandy France. This was the beginning of the liberation of German occupied Western Europe. This day marked the turn in control that was maintained by Nazi Germany. This was extremely important event because this invasion helped end World War II.

    The United States military entered Dachau where they found thousands of emaciated prisoners. The soldiers also came across dozens of train cars with rotting corpses. Over the years there were 200 thousand prisoners cataloged as to have passed through the gates. It is important to know that we will never know the exact number of people imprisoned or killed at Dachau. This date is very important because so many lives were saved.

    This is the day Harry Truman boarded the USS Missouri and signed the office surrender of imperial Japan to the Untied States bringing WWII to its end. This day is important showing that the United States, Britain, and other allies fought together to defeat Japan.
