    France and Great Britian sighned. This official ended the war.The treaty stated that the war "had spread trouble in four parts of the world." Now the two sides wanted peace.

    Required the colonists to pay adirect tax on all paper used. Colonists had to use stamped paper from London for all printed materials.

  • Tea Act

    Tea Act
    Tried to help the British East India Company by shipping its surplus tea to the colonies to sell below the price of colonial merchants.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Members of the sons of liberty dressed themselves up as Mohawk Indians and destroyed over 92,000 pounds of tea.
  • First Continental Congress

    They met in Philidelphia. The congress had 56 colonial delegates, including John and Samuel Adams.

    When the women stood up with their men saying that they will not buy any british clothes.
  • Intolerable Acts

    Kept in place duties on important tea and allowed the British East Indian company to export directly to the colonist.

    Most of the fightening took place on Breed's Hill. The outnumbered colonist turned back several assasults. Yet, they eventually ran out ammunition and had to retreat. The British suffered more than 1,000 casualties,compared to about 400 for the colonist.
