    The Savannah College of Art and Design was founded in 1978 to provide college degree programmes not previously available in southeast Georgia and to create a specialised professional art college.
  • SCAD's first restoration project

    SCAD's first restoration project was its very own first classroom. In the spring of 1979, SCAD purchased and renovated the Savannah Volunteer Guard Armory to serve as the first classroom and administration building.
  • Launch of Revitalization Scheme

    Hong Kong formally launched the Revitalization Scheme in February 2008 by inviting NPOs to submit proposals for revitalising the first
    batch of seven historic buildings. Upon expiry of the deadline on 22 May 2008, a total of 114 proposals had been received.
