Kitchen Remodel

  • Last Day to Pack Kitchen

    Last day to pack and remove all items from "old" kitchen

  • Out of Town

    Family visits -- need to have kitchen ready for appliance move.

  • Appliance Move

    Move refrigerator, stove to holding area. Do final sweep of kitchen. Set up work table in bedroom for coffee maker, toaster, etc. Move dining table and chairs to living room.

  • Demo countertops, cabinets, ceiling, rewire, install lights, paint

    Countertops and cabinets removed, light fixtures removed, ceiling removed. Wiring for can lights installed, , drywall installed, can lights installed, ceiling textured and painted.

  • Ceiling Cure

    Paint and drywall cure for one day before demolition of counters and old cabinets.

  • Install base cabinets, measure for granite

    new cabinets delivered, base cabinets installed, granite fabricator will measure for slab cuts.

  • Install upper cabinets

    New upper cabinets installed, visit granite fabricator for layout planning

  • Final on cabinets, under lay installed

    includes new pantry and roll-out shelves

  • Granite installed

    Install granite counter tops, new sink, disposer, re-plumb dishwasher, reinstall stove and refrigerator.

  • Finish and Walk-Through

    Final installations, clean-up, walk-through with contractor, final payment.
