    Johannes Gensfleisch zur Laden zum Gutenberg or Gutenberg was the invetor of the printing press, which made publishing literally very easy. It made the spread of books increase and writers could send a message quicker. It also made the price of books go down, literally.

    Renaissance

    The Rensaissance is a time of "rebirth", where as the video said everything "flourished" though thats physically impossible. It was a time where artists and inventors were able to come into full bloom, though that is also physically impossible. Many of the great artists lived during the Renaissance like Da Vinci, Galileo, and Raphael.

    Raphael was one of the great artists of the Renaissanse. He is responsible for The School of Athens, which took a year. He had talent since he was a teen drawing many self portraits.

    The Sistine Chapel was a 12,000 square foot ceiling that was painted by Michelangelo. It depicts Jesus deciding who should go to heaven or not. Michelangelo painted it for Pope Julius II.

    Galileo was an Italian physicist, born in 1564, who was " responsible for the birth of modern science." He also invented the telescope and the pendulum. On a random note, I have no idea what his parents were thinking naming him Galileo Galilei.
