In the Spanish American War the Spanish lost and America won all of their land. The U.S. got Cuba, Puerto Rico, Guam, and Philippines. The U.S. military also occupied Cuba, Dominican Republic, Nicaraqua, Honduras, and Haiti to control them.

During the Spanish American war the U.S. and Filipino banded together against the Spanish. Then the Filipinos ralied against the Amercans until 1902 and sporadiclly until 1906. The conflict killed many people.
