    The Magna Carta bill is significant to America, because it influenced our bill of rights and when the English left to colonize America, they brought one of the philosophies from the Magna Carta bill, which was that all men "have and enjoy all liberties and immunities of free and natural subjects."

    The Mayflower Compact was very important and significant, because this social contract prevented the colonists from going to a state of nature once they reached Massachusetts. This contract was the first establishment of a government in the colonies and was an alliance with the king.

These philosophies included rules for freedom of speech, the right to have regular elections, the liberties for Protestants or civilians to have arms in their defense and no excessive bail or cruel or unusual punishments.

    The significance of the proclamation is that this statement or proclamation increased colonial resentment towards England and served as a major source of tension for the colonists. This act is also very significant, because prohibited the colonists from establishing or maintaining settlements west of a divison that ran down the crest of the Appalachian Mountains.
