10 Events of WWII

  • WWII Begins

    Germany invaded Poland, and 2 days later, France and Great Britain declare war on Germany. France and Great Britain would later be remembered as the Allied forces, and would take too much time to assist Poland after Germany launches their first attack.
  • Germany Takes Control Of France

    After a Battle that took place in France, The Nazi;s took over Northen France. Hitler entered threw the Ardeenes (Heavily Wooded Forest) and took control, while the southern part was being controlled by Marshal Philippe.
  • Nazi's Bomb Britain

    In a tactical mistake, a Nazi aviator after following a chain of command dropped bombs during the Battle of Britain. Instructions from a higher ranked officer to drop extra weight, This due to the fact that the orders, when a pilot is lost is to drop all extra, unecessary weight.
  • Operation Barbarossa

    Hitler and the Nazi's, were on the border of the USSR, and so Hitler broke the non-agression pact and decided to attack USSR. This attempt was a catastophy on Nazi lives due to the cold temperature, and how Hitler was unprepared for the low temperatures.
  • Pearl Harbor Attacked

    A U.S. Naval military base located in Hawaii was attacked by the Japanese army, murdered over 2,300 Americans, forced U.S. to declare war on Japan and to exit Isolationism.
  • Battle of Midway

    The battle took place over the Pacific Ocean where both Japan and U.S.A. battled for three consecutive days. This battle took place by air and after three days, the U.S. came out victorious.
  • Battle of Bulge

    Attempt from the German forces to push back the Allid Forces, they were trying to conquer more of France, and so the Americans interfiered. The Americans won, and the reason for the name Bulge, was because the Germans created a "bulge" formation to push back the Americans.
  • Battle of Okinawa

    Last battle that took place in the Pacific, it was between Japan and USA, First time that the Kamekazi's were introduced into the war. They were suicide aviators.
  • Germany Surrenders, End of WWII

    On August 6, 1945, Germany has oficially surenderd to the Allies in Reims, Paris. That same day, Hitler commits suicide inside a bunker. This marks the end of V-Day.
  • Nagasaki Bombing

    The United States deployed a bomb named "The Fat Man" in Nagasaki, it murdered once it touched the ground 70,000 innocent civilians. Three days later, Hiroshima would be bombarded as well.
