Zooey's first day of Birth
During my birth process, which was divided into 3 different stages: labor, delivery of the baby and the delivery of the placenta and umbilical cord. Yuck! During my contractions, it had increased in durations, frequency and intensity cause my cerivix to dilate. The first stage was my labor. It was so painfull throughout this whole process and I'm never going to have a child ever again. Just kidding. Anyway, my whole body was fatige and I felt like I was having cramps the whole entire time, but.. -
Zooey's first day of Birth cont.
... I was calmed down by my husband with his presence. The second and third stage of birth had finally arrived. This process was the most painful of all. I was able to push Zooey out as I expected. I kept pushing as much as I could, but my body could not function. "Failure to progess" occured. And they had to give me a c-section. I was so in pain and had no idea what was going on with all the medicaiton. Zooey then finall arrived. pgs ( 85-98) -
Zooey's first day at home
Zooey's first day at home! My husband and I are greatly blessed that we finally got a chance to have our own home with our very first child together. Zooey has been breast feed the past three days since she was born. The benefits of being breast fed includes disease protection, cognitive devleopment, reduces obestiy, and better health for the child in the future. Zooey has been crying a lot as well, but the first couple of weeks are should be normal. pgs ( 112-117) -
Zooey's first words
Zooey is 4 months and has demonstrated her first few words. She has devloped babbling. Babbling is when the child starts to repeat certain different types of vowl combinations like "ba-ba-ba" or "da-da-da". Zooey is doing well in babbling! She is also starting to have better language comprehension. IfI were to say "da-da-da" she would also repeat, if I would try to say something else, she would try her best to repeat as well. Pgs ( 156-160) -
Zooey's first tooth
Zooey's first tooth has been visible! You can tell all she wants to do is bite, bite, bite everywhere! She is starting to have discomfort and paing. This is caused by "teething" I am starting to see salvia production and noticing Zooey drooling a lot more than usual. But seriously be careful, Zooey loves to bite! Pg (130) -
Zooey's crawling!
Zooey is now crawling this is gross motor skill advancement. I figured I put her on her belly because Zooey loves to lay on the floor. But now she is crawling like a pro! She is a very happy and active baby. Pg (141) -
Zooey's First Day at Preschool
Zooey is now 4 years old and it is her first day in pre-school. She is very smart and very excited for her first day. Teachers have spoken to me about Zooey's testing results prior to yesterday, and she is now accepted into the Head Start Program! The head start program is designed to help children who are the ages of 4-6 to give them exactly a "head start" in school readiness and able to learn more and different activities in learning! I am so proud and excited for her. -
Zooey's first soccer game
Zooey is now 9 years old and is offically playing her first game for her school. I have noticed that Zooey has become stronger and has greater agility for her to move quickly and precisely. Her reaction time is very well once she sees the ball coming towards her. From my knowledge, the corpus callosum is conneting the two hemisphers of the brain giving her a chance to reaction quicker. This is also a healthy way for Zooey to keep in shape and to stay healthy. -
Zooey's first day in highschool cont.
disorder.... to my knowledge Zooey is starting to become anorexic; completely starving her self and not wanting to eat. She is being pressured into having a boyfriend and I can't stand what this is doing to her. I am taking Zooey to psychotherapy so she can get some guidance. -
Zooey's first day in highschool
Today was Zooey's first day in highschool. She is now starting to become more attracted to boys than she use to 2 years ago. She is also starting to notice her body a lot more than usual. And is starting to eat less. She has spoken to me about looking "thin" and trying to lose weight. My daughter who is now 14 years old, has been playing soccer for almost 5 years. I know that my daughter doesn't need to lose weight. I don't want to be in denial, but I think this is a starting of an eating disord -
Zooey's High School Graduation
Zooey is finally graduating high school! I am so proud as a parent of how she molded into a beautiful woman. She has been through lots of obstacles, but she is finally done with high school and she is finally emerging into adulthood. She has gotten a scholarship to Yale University where she will still succeed in her favorite sport, soccer and also by pursing a degree in Engineering. Congratulations Zooey! -
Zooey is getting married!
Zooey is now 28 years old and is getting married to her high school sweet heart James. James and Zooey have been together for more than 5 years and it is defintely a reason to finally tie the knot! Zooey has graduated with her Engineering Degree and James graduated with his degree in biological science and will be going to medical school after the wedding. I am more than happy to see my daughter grow into the woman I've always wanted her to be.
