    In August, 1939, Germany invaded Poland. Germany's current leader, Adolf Hitler, wanted to undo the Treaty of Versailles and restore Germany's position in the world.     On December 7,1941, Japan surprisingly attacks Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. 2,400 Americans died in the attack and now President Roosevelt wanted to declare war on Japan.

    After the Pearl Harbor attack, Hitler now declares war on the U.S and drags America into the European conflict.
