Why: Luftwaffe to gain air superiority over the Royal Air Force (RAF), before a planned sea and airborne invasion of Britain during the Second World War.
Effects: Both sides lost heavily during the Battle of Britain. More than 1700 Luftwaffe (German air force) planes were destroyed. -

Why: the Japanese thought that america was gonna get into the army so they attacked america bc they thought they would attack them first
