Attack on Pearl Harbor
Pearl Harbor is located in Hawaii. It was a naval port for the US military. The attack (lead by the Japanese), cause mass disruption around the US. This was the reason that the US (and Britain) entered the war. -

USA ENTERED THE WAR
The USA entered the War after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. This Thrusted the US to enter the War. Italy, soon after, declared war on the US.
***(Britain declare war on Japan the same time that the USA did). -
President Roosevelt Passed the "Execusive Orderr 9066"
This order gave military leaders to force citizens and immagrants of Japanese ancestery to interment camps. This was for "safety reasons". This was more than 2 months after the attack on Pearl Harbor. -
President Roosevelt signed to create the Manhattan Project
After reciving a lettert from Albert Einstien saying that Germany had come up with a nuclear bomb, the President allow top scientists to create atomic bombs as well. This was kept secret from the general public, until leaked by an intruder who was not origialy part of the project. The bombs made were used to attack Japan. -
VE Day
The day that Germany surrendered. The Victory of Europe. -
Testing of the First Atomic Bomb
The explosion created a crater which measured nearly 2,400 feet across and was equivalent to about 20,000 tons of TNT. It's name was "Gadget". -
The Bombing Of Hiroshima
The atomic bomb "Little Boy" was dropped on Hiroshima. It was released by Enola Gay (the airplane), which was a B- 29 bomber. It killed 80,00-140,000 and injured more than 100,000 more. -
Bombing of Nagasaki
The plane Bockscar carried the bomb Fatman over Nagasaki. The original destination for the bomb was a torpedo plant, but fog caused the plane to change course and drip the bomb 2 miles off target to down town Nagasaki. It killed 74,000 and injured 75,000. -
