    Japan bombed US ships in Pearl Harbor to take control of the Pacific. It happened on December 7th, 1941. This took place in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The reason this happened is because Japan wanted control of Pacific.

    US & Britain Declare War on Japan
    US & Britain declared war on Japan on December 8th, 1941. They did this because Japan bombed Pearl Harbor.

  • Japan Invades

    Japan invaded Philippines, Guam, Burma, British Borneo, Hong Kong because they wanted to anything they could to have control on the Pacific. It happened on December 10th - 22nd.

    US decided to take action and start sinking Japanese warships. The first one was sunk on Jan. 27, 1942. We wanted control of the Pacific.

    This happened from April-June 1945.

    They were trying to officially win the war.

    We wanted control of the Pacific.

    The US dropped a bomb on Hiroshima & Nagasaki to end the war. The bombings happened on August 6 & 9, 1945. There were 2 atomic bombs dropped.
