The rape of nanking started because during WWII general muatsui said for Nanking to be destroyed. This worried the goverment so they fleed to Hankow. Almost all of the city was destroyed and burned down. Almost 200,000 men weere killed and 20,000 women of all ages were raped and killed. The fall of paris is when the germans planned a attack and took down the French. They were at war with eachother but had done very little fighting. This took them by a surpise and took down their army.

This was when the Germans thought that they were going to win this war and that the Soviet Union wouldnt be much of a fight for them. They soon realized that they were wrong and that it wasnt going to be as easy as they thought.

This was when the U.S was getting back Japan for the Pearl Harbor attack. The U.S. took a bomb flew over a city called Hiroshima and killed nearly 80,000 people. Four days later they dropped another bomb on a Japan city named Nagasaki and killed another 40,000 people. Some think this was the end of WWII but the causing of the Cold War.
