  • Stalin rise to power.

    Stalin was appointed central comitee in 1912 and became the First soviet leader in 1922.
  • Hitlers rise to power

    Hitler was a powerful speaker who attracted a wide following of Germans that were desperate for change. He promised a better life and a new glorious Germany.
  • Mussolini rise to power.

    Mussolini ruled as prime minister from 1922 to 1943. He was the leader of the National Fascist party ruling the country as Prime Minister. Mussolini is one of the key people in the creation of Fascism.
  • Italys conquest of Ethiopia

    An armed conflict that resulted in Ethiopia's subjection to Italian rule. Often seen as one of the episodes that prepared the way for World War II
  • Spanish Civil War

    The Spanish civil war lasted from July 17th 1936 until April 1st 1939. Fought between the Republicans amd the Nationalists, a rebel group led by Francisco Franco.
  • Rome-Berlin Axis formed.

    Rome-Berlin Axis, Coalition formed in 1936 between Italy and Germany. An agreement formulated by Italy's foreign minister Galeazzo Ciano informally linking the two fascist countries was reached on October 25, 1936. It was formalized by the Pact of Steel in 1939.
  • Annexing of Austria

    In early 1938 Austrian Nazis conspired for the second time in four years to seize the Austrian government by force and unite their nation with the Nazi Germany.

  • Poland attacked

    One of Adolf Hitler's first major foreign policy initiatives after coming to power was to sign a nonaggression pact with Poland in January 1934. This move was not popular with many Germans who supported Hitler but resented the fact that Poland had received the former German provinces of West Prussia, Poznan, and Upper Silesia under the Treaty of Versailles after World War I. However, Hitler sought the nonaggression pact in order to neutralize the possibility of a French-Polish military alliance.
  • Battle of Britain

    The battle of britain lasted from July 10th 1940 until October 31st 1940. In the summer and fall of 1940, German and British air forces clashed in the skies over the United Kingdom, locked in the largest sustained bombing campaign to that date.
  • Pearl Harbor

    Pearl Harbor was a surprise military strike conducted by the Imperial Japanese Navy against the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, in the United States Territory of Hawaii, on the morning of December 7, 1941

    The battle of stalingrad lasted from August 23rd 1942 until Feb. 2 1943
