    This battle took place in Poland. It was Germany versus Poland and Germany won (axis powers). This battle signifies the start of WWII.

    This battle was fought in British airspace between the Royal Air Force and Nazi Germany’s Air Force. The Nazi Air Force bombed Britain for months until the Royal Air Force defeated their attempt at invasion. The Battle of Britain was the first major campaign that was entirely fought by air forces.

    Took place in the Western Soviet Union. It was between the Soviet Union and Germany. Germany was attempting to invade and conquer the western Soviet Union. the Soviet Union won and Operation Barbarossa is now known as one of the largest military operations in the history of modern warfare.

    This battle took place at Truk lagoon. It was an air, naval, and surface attack by the US on the lagoon to attempt to drive the Japanese Navy through the Central Pacific Ocean. It was an American Victory and it prevented the Japanese reinforcement of Eniwetok garrison.

    This battle took place in Normandy, France and it was a battle between Germany and the allied forces (US, Britain, France, and Canada). The Allied forces won. D-day signified the start of Operation ‘Overlord’ where the Allied forces were trying to liberate north-west Europe from Nazi rule.

    The Battle of Okiwana happened at Okiwana Island. It was between the Japanese Army and the US Marine and Army Forces. It was a victory by the US and was the largest amphibious landing in the Pacific theater of WWII.

    This battle was fought in Berlin, Germany and it was between the German Army and the Soviet Army. The Soviets won and the result was the surrender of the German army and the suicide of Hitler. Hence the end of WWII.
