The Nuremberg laws discriminated against Jews and people who had Jewish heritage. You didn't have to be Jewish to be discriminated against. There were a series of laws against this group of people. Hitler believed that Jews were the mortal enemies of all Germans everywhere.

The single worst Atrocity that is known in WWII was the rape of Nanking. the Japanese Imperial army marched into Nanking, China's capital city and proceeded to murder half of the population (300,000/600,000). Between 20,000 and 80,000 women were raped during this invasion.

In order to appease Hitler, and partly from guilt, Great Britain, France, and Italy sign the Munich Agreement which allows Hitler to claim the Sudetenland (east Czechoslovakia).

In most Germany, The Sudetenland, and annexed Austria, the night of November 9th, the public outraged against Jewish people and businesses alike, houses were burned, businesses were stolen from, and people were harassed and even killed. The official response of German police was that the public was enraged by the killing of Ernst vom Rath, who was an officer stationed in Paris when a Polish Jew shot and killed him.

Britain, France, and Italy all didn't want any war so they tried to appease Hitler by signing the Munich pact, given, Hitler would stop his reign there (since the Treaty of Versailles was abolished).

On August 23rd, 1939, Germany and the Soviet Union would sign a "non-aggression agreement" which meant that there would be no military action between one another. Stalin wanted to be on peaceful terms with Germany, and Hitler wanted to invade Poland with the Soviet's help. Hitler eventually broke the deal with Stalin by invading Barbarossa on June 22, 1941.

Canada didn't declare war right after Britain as the issue was being argued in parliament. Canada officially declares war on Germany on September 30th, 1939.

Roughly 8 hours after attacking Pearl Harbor, the Japanese began to focus their attention to Southeast Asia, Hong Kong being the biggest victim. It was a hopeless but well fought attempt from the allied forces, but Japan's 50,000 soldiers outright won the battle.

"The Final Solution" was the term used to hide the extermination of the Jews. The plan goes as follows. 1 - Gather up all jews from German and claimed land and put them into "holding" ghettos
2 - Either work the ones who can to death
3 - Or gas the ones who can't work -
After the Pearl Harbor incident, Japan and America are now at war. Thanks to advancements in code breaking, America is able to anticipate Japan's sneak attacks, and very dominantly win this 3 day war.

The mostly Canadian force of the allies attempted to attack a German base. Britain was still looking for a strategy that would work against the Germans. The Dieppe raid gave Britain invaluable lessons that would lay the groundwork for the very successful operation "D-Day".

The Allied Forces looking to retake Europe arrived in Sicily, just off the mainland of Italy, after taking over Sicily really easily and a whole lot wins, The Allies thwarted Mussolini's plans of having Fascist Italy turn into something of the Roman Empire. This was the end for Benito Mussolini. Italy now under the rule of Badoglio government, declared war against Nazi Germany.

The First Candian Army liberated Dutch people who were suffering under the strict and intense rule of the German's who would malnourish and mistreat the Dutch. This would make for a good relationship between Canada and the Netherlands.

Desperate to force an unconditional surrender, and just to test their own power, America drops their second atomic bomb on Nagasaki, Japan trying to make sure that their surrender would be unconditional and also be saving a lot of potentially lost lives if Japan actually continued fighting.
