    After Vladimir Lenin's death, Stalin became the dictator of the USSR. He gained leadership by using propaganda as a way to push others'views. In his campaign he had, posters, books, newspapers, etc. This allowed Stalin to beat all of his opponents, giving him the leadership.

Many citizens of Japan believed the Chinese had something to do with the explosion, and this led to Japan invading Manchuria. When entering Manchuria, The Japanese were looking for resources and materials to take, and help with the damage that was done. As a result of the war, Japan took control of Manchuria and more Large sections of land in China.

People would eat things such as rats, tree bark, and grass, because barley any food was available

    By 1933, previous chancellors did not know how to make the situation of WWII any better. This made Hindenburg appoint Hitler to Chancellor of Germany. Once Hitler was appointed Chancellor, everything changed. He made Germany a place where only "Aryans" were allowed. He made the hate for Jews, slaves, and many more, rise. Only Aryans could work government jobs, or marry, Jews could do neither. Germany was taken over by the Nazis.

Hitler believed that the SA would eventually become too powerful, so he ordered his guards to murder the SA leaders, along with other members of the SA. The purpose of this event was to prevent the opposing team from becoming overly powerful.

    The Nuremberg laws, were laws created by the Nazi's. Nazis believed that there were certain races that were more superior than others. This made the Nazi's believe that people should be divided due to their race. The Nuremberg laws placed Jews into their own separate race, because the Nazi's believed they were inferior. The "Aryans" were the highest ranked race, and more superior than all.

    Italy invaded Ethiopia to boost Italy's reputation. The fight ended with Italy winning. Ethiopia was full of Italians and ran by Italy until 1941.

    The Great Purge was started by Stalin. Stalin wanted to eliminate challenge from opposition groups. Many prisoners were sent to Gulags and forced to work under harsh conditions. This led to multiple deaths at the camps, due to starvation, lack of nutrition, unsanitary conditions, and harsh elements.

    The Spanish Civil War started due to a group of conservative military wanting to overthrow the government. This act led to torture, deaths, killings, and much more. At the end of the war, the Nationalists gained territory and ruled Spain for a number of years.

    The Nanjing Massacre or " The Rape of Nanking" was a horrific event where thousands of women of all ages were raped and many men were killed by the Japanese. By the end of this event, death tolls increased, Rape became widespread, and the Chinese capital was ruined.

    Kristallnacht, AKA " The Night of Broken Glass", took place November 9th, 1938. On this day, Anti Jewish pogroms (violent attacks) began. This led to the destruction of many Jewish businesses, homes, and synagogues.

    On December 7th, 1941, Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, as a way to keep the U.S from interfering with plans. They wanted to leave damage as a way to buy them time from the U.S. They bombed due to political interests, and economic resources.
