    The invasion of Normandy took place on a 60 mile stretch of beach mostly on Juno, sword, and omaha beach. There was approx; 156,000 trroops that where involved. Omaha Beach was known as one of the most brutal areas. The U.S ended up winning this battle but it was very close they almost lost.
