Invasion of Manchuria
The invasion of Manchuria was planned by the Japanese before World War 2 to get important land for resources which then leads to power. The Chinese showed resistance but it wasn’t enough for the force of the Japanese Empire.
This played into the war later on because Japan controlled the very important land and then used in in wartime to prevent the allied forces to come in through all of the east coast of China.
