    On August 6, 1945, an American bomber dropped the world’s first deployed atomic bomb (little boy) over the city of Hiroshima. The explosion wiped out 90 percent of the city and immediately killed 80,000 people with many deaths after due to effects of the bomb. On August 9th another bomb (fat man) was dropped ober the city of Nagasaki. This led to Japanese surrender. History.com
