  • Life in Japanese Hong Kong

Starting on Black Christmas, the Japanese have rapidly changed the way Hong Kong has originally lived. The population of Hong Kong has greatly decreased from 1.6 million in 1941 to 600,000 in 1945. A great amount of Hong Kongers were executed, tortured, raped or mutilated by the Japanese. The Japanese also created and destroyed facilities under their own will. Food, water, hygiene and education were also taken by Japanese. It wasn't until 1945 when Japan surrendered where Hong Kong had freedom.
  • Anti-Japanese Resistance
