The battle consisted of German submarines and ground units against The U.S navy, U.S coast guard, royal navy, royal Canadian navy, and allied merchant convoys which were important to the Soviet Union and the British. In the end the allied won. -
Fall Of France
The fall of france began may 10, 1940 and ended in june 25, 1940. The german planned an attack called case yellow which cause the fall of france. The french defensive lines had been broken in only 4 days. There was an evacuation plan called "operation Dynamo", which when they launched it, lots of civillian vessels and 9 allied destroyers were destroyed. -
Air War Over Japan
The allied had air raided japan lots of times during WWII and ended up killing between 241,000 and 900,000 people in the process. The U.S flew sixteen B-25's into japan. This took place almost exactly 5 months after the bombing of pearl harbor. On june 14, 1944, The B-52's struck japan from china and only caused minor damage. In the end, allied won against japan. -

It was a 4 day long skirmish in 1942 that cause the japanese to be rerouted by the americans. During the battle, the americans and japanese both lost a lot of troops, but the U.S won the fight as japan retreated. Japan landed in Port Moresby and was attacked by the americans in a full frontal assault as the Allied won the fight. -

It was the epic battle between the U.S navy and the japanese imperial navy which took place 6 months after the bombing of pearl harbor. Midway is between U.S and Japan which the japanese tried to replicate what they did to pearl harbor but ended up failing in the end. U.S navy cryptanalysts were breaking japanese communication codes. -

Battle Of Okinawa
Battle Of Okinawa was the bloodiest battles in WWII and it was was the last major battle. The Navy fleet sent 180,000 troops to the Okinawa Islands. Although the win went to the allies, both sides had lots of troops have died due to Kamikaze fighter pilots, rainy weather, and lots of fierce fighting on land. By the time Americans landed on the islands of Okinawa, the European front was almost defeated. This battle was a lot worse than D-Day. This war was won by the allied. -
The bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima
There were 80,000 people killed in the bombing of Hiroshima and 40,000 people were killed in the bombing of Nagasaki. A group of refugees found out about nuclear bombs being made, so America made their own. There was a massive invasion called "Operation Downfall". -
Surrender of Japan
Japan surrendered because of the bombings of nagasaki and hiroshima japan. The allied took over japanese islands and called the invasion "Operation Olympic". It really turned out that the bombings didn't force the japanese to surrender, it was when the soviet union joined the allies. -
