    Germany invades Luxembourg and Belgium. France invades Alsace. British forces arrive in France. Nations allied against Germany were eventually to include Great Britain, Russia, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Rhodesia, Romania, Greece, France, Belgium, United States, Canada, Serbia, India, Portugal, Montenegro, and Poland.

    German submarine sinks the passenger liner Lusitania during crossing from New York to Liverpool, England, killing 128 Americans.
  • New Boss

    General John J. Pershing, newly elected commander of the American Expeditionary Forces, arrives in England with his staff.

    He boarded the ship on the way to war. Overall it wasn't too bad, the ship had good food, and good people, but people were getting sick.
  • Tragic while on guard

    While he was on guard a submarine shot at the ship the ship changed it course so fast he about fell into the mess tables The ship dropped a bunch of depth bombs and sunk the submarine.
  • American stop the Germans

    American forces stop German attempts to cross the Marne River at Chateau-Thierry.
  • Breakfast and sights!!!

    He got up at 6:30 had breakfast at 10:30 then headed to the gas house to test the gas masks. Then went for a walk and had a good time sightseeing
  • Airplane ATTACK!!!

    He moved into new positions and fired at 3:30 and then again at 7:30 when four airplanes swooped down and rained down bullets on them. Luckily no one was hurt! He got in at 11 bells and right back at the same thing the next day at 5 AM.

    Some bomber planes bombed around them but not them thankfully. He came back for breakfast. When he went back to where he slept they dropped shells on them. At 11:30 they had man gunfire. One guy was hurt. “I hope we move positions” “Gas smell everywhere” Many men became weak, hurt, or sick.

    Allied forces begin the attack at Meusse-Argonne, the final offensive of the war.
