The Great Purge was made by Stalin, to eliminate members that opposed the communist party. Due to this, more than a million people were sent to work camps called "gulags". -

The Japanese general ordered the city of Nanking to be destroyed. Much of the city was burned, the Japanese men burned over 150,000 men, and raped at least 20,000 women. -
