    The Japanese attack Pearl Harbor
    Over 3,500 Americans were killed. 350 aricraft were destoroyed/damaged. All 8 battleship of the United State Pacific fleet were sunk or badly damaged. It was a surprise attack. It lasted 100 minutes from 7:55am to 9:45am. It was the start of World War 2. The Japanese attacked on a Sunday because they thought the soilders would be more relaxed and less alert.

    The Battle of Croral Sea
    The Japanese invade and occupy Tulagi the Soloman Islands. The United States broke Japans secrect war code and forewarned of an impending invation of Tulagi and attemped to intercept the Japanese armada. It was a 4 day battle with 70 Japanese and 66 American was planes destroyed. It was the first air naval battle in history. The battle stopped the Japanese sea-borne invasion of Port Moresby.

    America destoryed four of Japan's aircraft carries. A United States naval intelligence team tricked the Japanese into revealing their code name for Midway. The United States planes seperated and when they got to their destiniation, the Japanese carries werent in site. 15 U.S. planes were shot out of the sky before they caused any damaged. The U.S. navy lost York Town to a Japnese submarine.

    Battle of Normandy/ D-Day
    Nearly two million soilders and airmen were involved in Operation Overload. The Allies flew 14,000 planes, losing 12,000 airmen and 2,00 aircrafts. In the end 28,000 airmen were dead. This resulted in the Ailled liberation of Western Europe from Nazi Germany. 156 American, Brithish, Canadain forces landed on five beachs in the coast of Fance's Normandy region. The Allies conducted a large scale deception campaign designed to mislead the Germans about the intended invation target.

    Hitler thought the British, French and American allience in western Europe wasnt strong and that a major attack and defeat would break them up. It was first known as the Ardennes offensive but the attack by Germans created a bugle in the Allied front line so its now know as the Battle of the Bulge.Before the attack, English speaking Germans dressed in American uniforms and spread misinformation, changed road signs and cut telephone lines.

    This was the last and biggest battle of the Pacific Islands. 287,000 U.S. troops and 130,000 Japanese soliders died. The capture of Okinawa was part of a 3-point plan the Americans had for winning the war in the Far East. There were many kamikaze attacks where the Japanese flew their planes into the American ships. Out of 193, 169 planes were destroyed.

    Around 1p.m. he fell unconcious from a massive cerebral hemorrhage. He left Harry Truman with the decion on wether to use the atomic bomb. Harry Truman became president. Truman didnt know about the Mahattan Project until President Roosevelt died.

    It was announded the end of World War 2 in Europe. Both the United States and Great Britain celebrated. German troops in Europe laid their arms down. About 1 million Germans attempted a mass exodus but were stopped by Russians and taken captive. 13,000 Brithish prisoners of was were released. This day marked the defeat of Germany by Allied forces.

    This day marked the end of World War 2. Many historians argue if it started the Cold War. The blast was equivilent to 15,000 tons of TNT. It killed 80,000 people. Tens of thousands more people died the following weeks from wounds and radiation poisoning.

    Japan surrended unconditionally to the Allies ending World War 2. On the navy battleship USS Mission the Japanese prime minister and the chief of Japan's army signed the agreement of surrender.
