The act allowed the president to transfer arms and any other defenses for which Congress approved money to. The lend-lease act was helping the way for America to enter the war after they stayed out for the time being. -

This was the code name Germany used for the invasion of the Soviet Union. Over the course of the operation about 4 million Axis power soliders invaded the USSR. This was the largest invasion in warfare history. -

A surprise military attack on the United States by the Japanese at the United States naval base in Hawaii. The attack was a surprise to the United States because they had been holding peace talks with the empire of Japan. The event was the reason for the US for entering World War II. The attack was to prevent the US naval fleet from interfering with military actions of the Japan Empire. -

The battle of midway was one of the most important naval battles of World War II. This happen six months after the attack on Pearl Habour. Like the Pearl Habour atttack, The Japanese Empire was trying to keep the U.S from power in the Pacific thereby giving Japan a free-hand in establishing the "Greater East Asia". -

A German offensive campagin towards the end of World War II. It was plan designed by Hitler to recapture the habour of Antwep. The attack was a surprise that caught the Allied powers off guard. The United State forces incurred the highest casualities of the attack. The attack also depleted the German war making resources. -

The invasion was to stage the area for attacks on the main island Japan. The battle lasted 5 weeks and was the fierces and bloodiest battle of the war in the Pacific. -
Battle of Okinawa
The Battle of Okinawa was fought on the Ryukyu Island of Okinawa and was the largest assault in the Pacific War of Wolrd War II. The battled lasted 82 days. After a long campaign of island hopping the Allies were apporaching Japan and planned to use Okinawa for a base for air operations on a planned invasion of Japan's mainland. -

Also known as Victory in Europe Day, was the public holiday celebrated to mark the unconditional surrender of Nazi'Germany's armed forces that marked the end of World War II. The U.S and Britian put out flags and banners to celebrate. Upon the defeat of Germany (Italy had already surrendered) nations celebrated all over the world. -
