Paul von Hindenburg, the president of Germany, appoints Adolf Hitler to Supreme Chancellor of Germany. Hitler soon takes complete control of Germany and rules as a dictator. -

Nazi Germany passes the first Nuremberg Lawa that revokes the citizenship of Jews and prevents the wedding of Jews with non-Jews. This was the first sign of hitlers anti-seministic views. -
Japan sides with Germany
Japan signs a military agreement with Nazi Germany that joins the Japanese military with the Axis-Powers. -
Munich Conference
Great Britian signs an agreement with Germany allowing Hitler to take over some parts of Czechoslovakia as long as he promises to not expand any further. -
Nazi / Soviet Non-Aggression pact.
Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union sign a non agression pact that solidified Hitlers promise to not fight againts Stalin and the Soviets. -
Germany Invades Poland
Germany invades Poland and breaks their agreement to not expand further than the Sudetenland. This forces Great Britain and France to join the war. -
Soviet Union invades Poland
Nazi Germany is already advancing it's troops further into Poland, so the Soviet Union decides to invade Poland from the East. -

Albert Einstein warns the U.S about Germanies ability to create an atomic bomb and urges the United States to start working on a bomb of their own befire Germany does. -
Pearl Harbor is bombed.
The American naval base, Pearl Harbor, is bombed by Japanese aircraft forces. Over 2000 United States Soliders and civilians were killed and multiple warships were destroyed. -
Japan captures Bataan
Japanese forces invaded the Philippines in what was the most intese Japanese invation of the war in the Pacific. Over 75,000 U.S. troops were captured after the U.S. forces retreated. -
Battle of Midway Island
Oten called the turning point for the war in the Pacific. U.S. forcec intercept a Japanese transmission that give the U.S. a heads up to a Japanese attack. The U.S. is prepared and sinks four Japanese aircraft carriers. -
Battle of Stalingrad
German troops attempt to overtake the Russian controled citiy of Stalingrad, but are cut off when they have 9/10 of the city conquored and are surrounded by Russian troops and tank units. -
Operation Torch
British and American forces invade French North Africa to retake German Controlled territory. Over 107,000 Allied troops were deployed during this invasion. -
D-Day
Allied forces strom the German controlled beaches of Normandy and suffer heavy casualties to obtain victory. At least 156,000 Allied troops were involved in the invasion and over 10,000 men were slaughtered. -
Battle of the Bulge
The last German offensive of World War 2. The Germans launched the attack from the forested Ardennes, Wallonia. But after the winter broke the German forces were overrun. -
Iwo Jima
U.S. Marines land on the Island of Iwo Jima, a strategicly placed island for the U.S., and suffer heavy loses before taking the island. -

After germany is completly surrounded by Allied forces Adolf Hitler takes a cyanide pill along with his wife, two secretaries, and his dog. -
Victory in Europe Day
The war in Europe comes to an end as the German Nazi Party surrenders unconditionally to Allied Powers. -
Hiroshima
The United States dropped the first ever Atomic bomb on the Japanese city, Hiroshima, completly leveling the entire city and instatnly killing thousands. -
Japan Surrenders
After the United States dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki Japan surrenders unconditionallly to the United States offically ending World War Two.
