    Great Britian signs an agreement with Germany allowing Hitler to take over some parts of Czechoslovakia as long as he promises to not expand any further.

    The American naval base, Pearl Harbor, is bombed by Japanese aircraft forces. Over 2000 United States Soliders and civilians were killed and multiple warships were destroyed.

    Japanese forces invaded the Philippines in what was the most intese Japanese invation of the war in the Pacific. Over 75,000 U.S. troops were captured after the U.S. forces retreated.

    Oten called the turning point for the war in the Pacific. U.S. forcec intercept a Japanese transmission that give the U.S. a heads up to a Japanese attack. The U.S. is prepared and sinks four Japanese aircraft carriers.
  • Battle of Stalingrad

    Battle of Stalingrad
    German troops attempt to overtake the Russian controled citiy of Stalingrad, but are cut off when they have 9/10 of the city conquored and are surrounded by Russian troops and tank units.
  • Operation Torch

    Operation Torch
    British and American forces invade French North Africa to retake German Controlled territory. Over 107,000 Allied troops were deployed during this invasion.
  • D-Day

    Allied forces strom the German controlled beaches of Normandy and suffer heavy casualties to obtain victory. At least 156,000 Allied troops were involved in the invasion and over 10,000 men were slaughtered.

    The last German offensive of World War 2. The Germans launched the attack from the forested Ardennes, Wallonia. But after the winter broke the German forces were overrun.

    The war in Europe comes to an end as the German Nazi Party surrenders unconditionally to Allied Powers.

    The United States dropped the first ever Atomic bomb on the Japanese city, Hiroshima, completly leveling the entire city and instatnly killing thousands.
