Japanese attack the US naval base on December 7, 1941. This happened on a harbor on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. This was a surprise attack on a Sunday morning. The Japs attacked the naval base through the air and water. The Japs destroyed 8 battleships, 3 destroyers, 160 aircraft carriers, and 128 more. they also killed 2500 people most of them males. This knocked the US out of commission. This attack was intended to neutralize the Pacific Fleet. This attack led the US in to the war. -
